We are off today on our first real road trip in more than a year. It is about four weeks and features visits with family and friends and touring some really cool places. When we head out east we go over the Hartman Bridge in Baytown. It is tradition that Ginny takes a photo as we go over that. Well, she pulled out her camera and took a shot only to find that it was on time delay from a previous session of group photos. She got nothing.
We cross many bridges in the opening day trip to Montgomery, AL. One of the cool ones is just north of Mobile over the Mobile River. She was ready and got a decent shot. The drive to Montgomery is about ten hours, but it is worth it. We can drive to Atlanta in two and a half hours the next day and arrive before noon after rush hour.
