Our wingtip smoke device development effort is getting close to devices that are acceptable for flight. We have airborne tested some with mixed success. The criteria is that the need to burn with intense smoke for 45 seconds. Today we were continuing our experiments with Solvent Violet 47. It is a nice color, but tends to burn way too fast. We need to get this right because the boys want to use it for a demo on Thursday.
