It was a visiting day. Ginny's mom and her Aunt Sylvia are both in an assisted living facility in Forest Grove, OR. We headed over there and spent some time with both of them. Ginny's mom is 95 years old and today she was pretty lethargic. Ginny started showing her some photos (her mom really likes to see photos), but she drifted off and we went on to visit Sylvia who is about 90. Sylvia was sitting in her chair and we had a good conversation with her.
Next stop was Aunt Alice who is 90. She is in very good shape and is still living in her house. She had hip replacement surgery a few months ago and she regained her mobility which is very important. We went out to lunch at a Chinese place and had a very nice time. Afterwards we went to Alice's home and spent several hours with her. Ginny showed her some of our trip diaries which have lots of photos. We headed back to the hotel in the middle of the afternoon and took some down time.
Dinner this evening was with Ginny's cousin Mark and his wife Pam. It was a fun time. After dinner we returned to our room at the hotel and had a chance to continue the conversation. The beer was cold. Ginny showed lots of her pictures and a good time was had by all.
Today's photo is of Ginny and her mom. Last March Ginny went to Oregon and put on a birthday party which everybody enjoyed. Ginny has done the party for several years.
