Day 9 September 1

It was a day that started out at the Country Music Hall of Fame. It is a very well done museum that has lots of interesting stuff on display. There are also lots of videos. We also took a tour of RCA Studio B where many great hits were recorded. The guide for that one gave a very interesting narrative. We took a break for lunch and went to Jack's Bar-B-Que on Broadway. It was pretty good. We returned to the Hall of Fame for a couple hours.

Next stop was Green Brier Distillery. Although they do some distilling there, the Belle Meade brand actually comes from Midwest Grain Products of Indiana. Nothing unusual about that. They have a small pot still which they are using, apparently, to produce spirit for their Nelson's Tennessee Whiskey brand. They are just about to bottle the first of it. The tasting was not very good. The white whiskey was, well, white whiskey. The Belle Meade Bourbon was not very good. I had bought that stuff before and didn't like it very much. The last item on the tasting was Louisa's Liqueur which was sweet and tasty. We all seemed to enjoy it. It was like Bailey's.

We had a leisurely dinner then retired to Ken and Debby's motor home for a game of cards out on the picnic table. It was a lot of fun. The name of the game was CLAG. New to us but simple to learn. Today's photo is of the game taken by a girl walking down the street who was pretty hammered.
