The highlite for today was a train ride through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We never pass up an opportunity to ride on trains or boats. I was thinking about my friend John Cooper. Although it was a diesel electric locomotive, it is still a train and lots of fun. It was an out and back ride. There was a locomotive on both ends of the train so they swapped drive engines rather than turning the train around. Again, very pleasant weather.
After the train ride we went to a couple more places in the park then decided to call it a day.
I would classify Cuyahoga Valley National Park as definitely in the bottom tier of National Parks. I really think it was mostly a political artifact. Senators and Representatives bringing home the bacon. It is definitely not on my "gotta get back to" list.
