Day 18
Richard and Christiane had to work today, so we went down to Wilmington for lunch with our graduate school friend Carl and his wife Rene. The food was great but the conversation was even better. We talked about the crazy things that happened and the crazy people we knew in grad school. It was a long lunch and it was very enjoyable.

Back at the house we had a birthday party for Richard. Presents are often consumable things that way they don't get left in corners and closets to add to the clutter. So we gave Richard some Astros refreshments. If you are not familiar with Minutemaid Park, you won't get what Crawford Bock is all about. Today's photo is of Richard and grandsons Austin and Andrew who are always available on short notice to open presents. Penny the Corgi is supervising.
