Ever since the Trade-O-Ree my interest in my Boy Scout patch collection has been rekindled. I just about left it alone for about 15 years. I had accumulated bits and pieces over time but hadn't set about putting them in binders. I have about 40 3 inch binders filled with patches. There are several different types of collections. So today I was working on my Council Shoulder Patch (CSP) collection which only has five binders. I had some new items to enter in my database. Also had to update the database to reflect the many changes that have happened in the intervening years. For this particular part of the collection, there is an end in sight. There aren't many needed relative to the size of the collection and luckily most are rather easy to come by. Maybe some day I can finish it. One thing that is fun is to thumb through the pages and look at the patches. They are very interesting because they represent each a different part of the country. Some are very pretty. Cheap thrills. Well, almost, some of the ones I need are quite pricey, but hey, its for the fun of it.
