This was our second day in Shenandoah National Park. The weather was pretty crappy. There was lots of fog which made the overlooks rather pointless. I guess you could stand there and imagine what the scene would be without the fog. Our big hike of the day was down to Dark Hollow Falls. It was 1.4 miles round trip. There was 440 feet of vertical. Going down was easy. That is the way it goes. I would rather hike up first, then down, but waterfalls always seem to be at the bottom of a hike. At the end of the hike it started to rain as the remnants of hurricane Michael came upon us.
Today's photo is Ginny's obligatory photo of us with a waterfall.
