It seems like there is a limitless supply of things to go wrong at our house. Today I started filling up a big pot with water and all of a sudden the water stopped flowing. Earlier I had heard a jack hammer at work up the street. So I walked up there to see what was going on. The trucks gathered there were from the Clear Lake Water Authority, so I felt confident I had found the problem. Sure enough, they were doing something and managed to break a water line which means that they had to turn off the water to fix it. We were on the wrong side of the valve. After about an hour or two the water was restored and we carried on as normal. Today's photo is of the crack Clear Lake Water Authority work crew operating machinery.

Another issue on the repair front is that our alarm system is somehow buggered up. The repairman showed up and confirmed that it was indeed buggered up. He messed with it a while and came to the conclusion that a circuit board needed to be replaced. He said he would be able to finish the repair on Friday.

I sincerely hope that nothing else goes pear shaped around here.
