Day Twenty Five
It was the triumphant return to Sequoia National Park. We started out the day with a hearty breakfast at Wuksachi Lodge. Once we got started touring, we didn't want to take time out for a restaurant. Because the park gets so crowded we decided to make the best of the bus schedule and park at the south end. That turned out to be a good call. We visited the General Sherman tree and then went to the main visitor center. Next it was a return to the south end and a trip to Moro Rock then to Crescent Meadow for a hike.
But wait, there's more! One last hike around the Big Trees trail. It was flat and easy. Nice big trees to see. But we got the surprise of our life when we came upon a black bear out rummaging for food. He completely ignored us, even crossing the board walk 20 feet in front of us. Today's photo is Ginny's shot of the bear. Very Cool. Good Job Ginny.
