Next weekend we are heading to San Antonio for a weekend with Ginny's Texas cousins. It promises to be a good time. All of them are a lot of fun. One of the activities on the schedule is a cowboy shooting experience at a local shooting range. This is an activity that uses pistols, rifles and shotguns. We figured it might be a good idea to get Ginny out to the range for a little orientation and practice. It was a beautiful day for doing outdoor activities. After a little practice handling the gun (Smith and Wesson Model 19, .357 Magnum) we went to live ammo and shot some paper targets to get the feel of things. She picked it up quickly and had fun. Next we moved to the steel plate targets. They are lots of fun because they flip backwards if you hit them. She was very good at it and we had a lot of fun shooting. Life is good.
