Today I got to a significant point in the overhaul. All the cylinders are mounted and torqued properly. As I mentioned previously, you have to use a cylinder wrench which is an oddly curved contraption to which you attach a torque wrench. The assembly is very ungainly, but necessary. One of the challenges in torquing the cylinders is that two of the six bolts are through bolts which have to be tightened at both ends which presents a challenge. From here on out, it is just putting things back the way they were and replacing a bunch of washers and nuts. All the lock washers need replacement. In the case of the exhaust manifold, all the nuts and bolts need replacement. Fortunately, I have a bunch of those in stock so I won't have to chase some down.

Today's photo is a look down the row of cylinders on the starboard side. You can see the push rod tubes and the clamps holding the rubber seals in place. Getting those clamps on is a challenge. Fortunately, we have the proper tool. About the only way to get at them easily is to remove the intake and exhaust manifolds. Once those are installed, access is pretty much prevented. That whole space under the cylinders will be filled in a couple days.
