So now we are back home again. Our drive from Ponchatoula was pretty much uneventful. There was a gigantic traffic jam eastbound over the Mississippi River Bridge at Baton Rouge. Fortunately, we were heading the other direction. The backup was over 5 miles long. That is not an unusual situation in that location. Back at the house by about 1:30, in plenty of time so that Ginny could watch Jeopardy, her favorite TV show.

The tale of the trip was pretty simple. Nine days total and only 1838.6 miles. A short one indeed. I can't wait to get on the road again, but it looks like we are stuck here until mid-January when we are going to visit Richard and his family for about a month. That should be fun.
