Today we headed out on a short road trip to Alpharetta to spend Thanksgiving with Robert, Laura, Peyton and Kensie. For some reason Ginny likes to take a picture of the Hartman Bridge in Baytown every time we head east. So here it is. Our objective was Montgomery Alabama for the night. It is about 625 miles which is the upper range of the distance I am willing to travel in a day. It took 10 hours. The traffic was unusually light. There were no delays going over the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge and getting across the Mississippi River bridge in Baton Rouge. We hit town in Montgomery at about 6pm. A quick stop at McDonalds for some salads and we headed back to enjoy supper with some wine and beer. Good day, all in all.
