So Hurricane Harvey went ashore late yesterday somewhere around Rockport which is near Corpus Christi. It devastated the place. That is what hurricanes do. It all depends on your very local situation. Hurricane Ike went right over the top of us and we only lost a fence and some shingles. Down by the water, homes were blown away. Enough bad Karma to have some for everyone.

Well, this morning our weather was rather benign. I felt like cooking something and decided on making some yeast rolls. I hadn't made a raised bread by hand since I was in graduate school. It was a lot of fun and Ginny admitted they were very good. As the day wore on, the rain bands from the hurricane started coming ashore and it started to rain. By about midnight, it was coming down in torrents. I have never seen so much rain. See August 27 for the rest of the story.
