You could chalk this one up to "easily amused." Early this morning I walked by the front windows and noticed two spider webs brilliantly illuminated by the early morning sun. That is not an unusual thing but for some reason I was attracted to the sight and grabbed a camera. Sometimes simple things are captivating, and this was the case today. Taking photos of spider webs and spiders is not something I pursue. There are some in my photo database like this one. Anyway, I stood by the web and watched for a while. During that time the spider had two small bugs get caught in the web and he scooted right out and snatched them up. They were so small that they were bite size for him. After a while he started doing some kind of maintenance on his web. As I stood there watching, I could see other critters like our local lizards and birds going about their early morning routines. So I decided to do the same and returned inside to my early morning routine which is drinking coffee and surfing the internet.

Well, it's a nice shot of him. Or her. I've never seen this
type of web.

Great shot John, those shots look easy but aren't.
