Having a large database of digital photographs can be a lot of fun. My Lightroom database includes as of this evening 195,033 keyworded photos. Additionally, I have worked very hard in my scanning efforts to get proper dates assigned. I am very nose-to-the-grindstone as far as the photos are concerned. It is fun just browsing through them. Occasionally I discover some which require keyword or date modification. Today I found a great one of my son David asleep in his stroller while we were playing Putt Putt golf. It needed an important keyword addition, "sleeping." I have 188 photos of people sleeping in sometimes humorous positions.

So I decided to find a blast from the past for today's submission. Forty years ago (that would be 1977 for the calendar challenged) Ginny and I were in Cambridge, Massachusetts for my graduation from MIT. This was my second graduation from MIT. This time it was a PhD in Organic Chemistry. Ginny graduated a year earlier from MIT with her PhD in Physical Chemistry. My parents were there. It was a great time. This is a photo of me with my new doctoral hood, Ginny and my dad.
