We started our second photography course today. We knew all three instructors from previous courses and there were a couple participants we knew. Today's adventure was AWESOME. We boarded the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and headed out on a photographers special. It was a ten hour ride that featured stops where the photographers got off the train and the train backed down and chugged by at full steam twice. They did this eight times. We got lots of photos, far too many to post on pbase. This is my photo, but Ginny had tons just as good. Here is an example.
I have to tell you that I was thinking of my friend John Cooper during this adventure. This is the type of stuff he loves.
WOW! A machine so robust and heavy as a military tank on a path so fragile, and that volcanic smoke emerging from its nozzle that gives it a diabolical look. Superb picture.
