We tooled around Yellowstone today with the group. Many times you drive around and see no critters. Today was different. We were lucky for sure. We saw elk, pronghorn, bison, wolves and bears. A great day. With the exception of the bear, we were able to pull over and get out of the van for some photos. This guy was one of about 50 just hanging out in a field. Left alone, bison don't seem to do much except eat and poop. They appear to be pretty gentle, but I am sure that I have no urge to try befriending a 2000 pound critter.
