We headed to the rim of the Grand Canyon early to get some photos. The spot we chose was the geological museum which is interesting. We took some pictures of the two of us with the able bodied help of Joe Tripod's brother. I shot this one of Ginny. I like it.

Our objective today was Page, Arizona. We were there last year and had a great time. Our first stop was the marina to check on our booking for a trip to Rainbow Bridge tomorrow. All that proved to be in order so we dawdled around and went to the hotel early afternoon so we could spend some time getting caught up on things. Ginny makes a scrapbook as we go and she was several days behind. She got caught up. I got caught up on cataloging and key wording our photos. It was nice to relax for a while.

In the late afternoon we went on a Ranger led hike to the Hanging Gardens. The ranger had a lot of information to share about the archaic inhabitants of the area. Life was tough for these people. The hanging gardens are an alcove that manages to capture rain water and keep a bunch of plants alive, mostly maidenhair fern and a type of orchid. They are growing on the wall of the alcove, hence the name hanging gardens.
