We spent the morning on a van tour of some of the horse country sites around Lexington. This part of Kentucky is all about horses. For miles around there are nothing but horse farms. One of the stops we made was at Keeneland, a race track which hosts some of the highest purse races in the world. There were some horses out on the track getting their training. Our guide was very informative. We also visited three farms where these critters are boarded, bred and raised. Even for a person who doesn't really give a hoot about horses (that would be me) it was a good tour. Here Ginny is seen swapping jokes with a horse at McPeek Racing.
