I am still working my way through the photos we took in Iceland last year. Going through them in this amount of detail has been a very enlightening project. I am learning things that will improve our results for this year's traveling. We are going to start the first of May. One of the things I need to improve on is taking my time and spending more time composing the shots. The one of the church a couple days ago is an example of what I can get if I put my mind to it. No amount of Photoshop will fix a crappy shot.
Today's photo is from Vigur Island. It is a huge puffin, Arctic Tern and Eider duck roosting area. We took a whole lot of shots here of the various birds. As I go through them, there are lots of well exposed and well focused shots, but it is hard to find an interesting one. I chose this one because of the nice DOF effects. We saw lots of puffins in many different places. This particular day had nice sunshine, which wa the exception rather than the rule. There was a lot of overcast, misty weather. Rather like Putney, I presume.
