One gift that I got for my birthday was a gift card for Spec's, my favorite liquor store. So I went there with a mission to add a new single malt to my collection. I chose Glenmorangie this time, expanding the collection to 16 in all. Of course, I had to have a single malt to compare it with and I chose Old Pulteney. I have to say that Old Pulteney is the best single malt for the price. I have kept a bottle of that available for years. Anyway, the Glenmorangie was nice. I have to say that that I have yet to run across a single malt that was really bad. So I wrote some notes and I plan to try it a few more times over the next week to refine my observations. Good notes are important for me because I can't remember many things.

Glenmorangie is my wife's favorite John, we buy a couple of $29 bottles each year in FL.

A belated Happy Birthday John. I have never heard of this scotch but our local nationalized bootlegger stocks it so I shall investigate further. I have found Macallan Gold to be an excellent value and worthy of a sip.
