We drove down to Millville, NJ for the day, the objective being WheatonArts which is a place with a big glass museum and a glass making facility. Yeah, there is other artsy stuff like pottery as well. Also four, count 'em four gift shops. All in all it was pretty interesting. I always enjoy watching the glass blowers at work. They have skills which I could never develop. The museum was interesting as well. I didn't realize that southern New Jersey was a glass blowing center in the late 18th and 19th century. The day was very nice, but unfortunately there wasn't much scenic to wander around on the grounds.

After our visit to WheatonArts we went to the Millville Airport which was a P-47 training base during WW2. They had a very nice museum there. We spent about an hour going through it. There quite a few exhibits of "stuff" that people had collected: vintage uniforms, letters, some minor pieces of equipment. There was also quite a few small models of all sorts of airplanes. Out back they had an A-4 and a C-23 Sherpa. The latter was interesting to me because it is the military version of the Short Brothers 330. Never knew it existed.

Anyway, today's photo is of a display of recently made bell jars. They are supposed to be artsy, not utilitarian. So I got to playing with DOF and this is what I got. Interesting bokeh as well. One of these days I am going to make a point of playing with bokeh, but not today.
