We went to Rotorfest 2014 today at Brandywine Airport in West Chester. I was a little skeptical about the whole thing, but upon Ginny's insistence, we headed out. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. The airshow is sponsored by the American Helicopter Museum which is at Brandywine Airport. They had three airshow segments which were about 30 minutes each. Included in the agenda were a Huey, Huey Cobra, Bell 47 and the Coast Guard MH-65. The program said that they would fly an autogyro, but that didn't happen. That was a big disappointment. Ginny and I both wanted to see one fly. So, the Coasties put on their rescue demonstration which we thoroughly enjoyed. They recovered their rescue swimmer in a basket which was pretty cool. I am amazed that the helo pilot can hold station so accurately. Tax dollars well spent.
