Today was the first full day of what is probably going to be the routine while we are helping out Richard, Christiane, Andrew and Austin. Richard and Christiane headed off to tend to the boys at the hospital. Ginny and I headed to the grocery store and stocked up on what we will need in the near future. On the way home we stopped at the beer store and I got a case of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in cans. I like cans since I usually pour beer into a glass anyway. They are easier to store in the refrigerator. They were having a plant and produce sale there and Ginny found some very nice mum plants and she got a couple of them. One for Christiane and one for the friends we are going to visit tomorrow night. She also picked up some nice sweet corn.

Back at the house, we got busy and did some housekeeping tasks. My main challenge was to clean out the refrigerator. That was quite a task, but the result was very satisfying. I also cleaned up around the sink and stove. Quite a Susie Homemaker.

For the last couple days the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) indicator has been on. When it first happened, I stopped the car and had a look. I also measured the pressures and they were a bit low, but not terrible. Ginny insisted that we air up the tires. Fortunately, Richard had a portable compressor which actually worked pretty well. I was surprised. So I aired them all up to 40 pounds, to be sure I was well above spec of 33. I wanted to be enough above so that if the indicator light was still on, that I would be sure that it was a bum sensor. Sure enough, the light went out. Problem fixed. Apparently the "substantially below" that is referred to in the handbook is 29 pounds. Good thing to know.
