Today was the last day of our vacation within a vacation. It was also our 38th wedding anniversary. We were driving back to the coast with a stop in The Dalles to visit Ginny's cousins Mike and Theresa. We had a nice lunch then headed out. We stopped at the The Dalles hydroelectric dam for a little look around. One of the big issues out here on the Columbia River is salmon migration. Fish ladders are installed on all the dams. The slanted structure is the fish ladder here. At Bonneville Dam you can actually watch the fish swimming by in a viewing area beside the ladder.
