We headed out from Salem this morning on our way to Bend for a four night stay. Along the way we went to see the Metolius River near Sisters, Oregon. This is a pretty neat river, as far as rivers go. It is formed by a giant spring coming out of the bottom of a hill. This photo is the river just 200 yeards or so from the spring. As you can see it is a pretty big river. Off in the distance is Mt. Jefferson. We went to visit the Wizard Falls fish hatchery as well and ended up doing a nice five mile hike along the river. It was a nice day.
