We had a nice day driving around on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington State. One of the coolest things we saw was the Willapa Bay Interpretive Center. It was all about cultivating oysters. This little bay produces nine percent of all the oysters harvested in the United states. I had no idea how oyster cultivation worked, but now I know. Unfortunately, it was at high tide so the beds were not exposed. Next time we will have a look at the tide tables before heading up that way.
