There is a good story with this photo. I was standing in the crowd shooting photos when a guy next to me asked if I could take some photos of his daughter who was on an approaching float. I said sure and quickly crossed the street and started blazing away. His daughter is Princess Emma, a candidate for Astoria Regatta queen. After I got the images I went back to the guy and he gave me his card. Well, to my surprise, Princess Emma is the daughter of Clatsop COunty Sheriff Tom Bergin. I sent him the proofs and he selected a couple, this being one of the. I worked them up into 4x6 and 8x10 formats and sent him the files. This was neat. Tom was a very happy camper to have some great photos of his daughter in the parade.
