We toured around Cusco today. It was a nice sunny day. One thing that was a little challenging for some in the group was the elevation of the city - 11,150 feet. Most of us flatlanders never get that high for any extended period of time. I didn't find it uncomfortable, but I have to admit feeling short of breath on several occasions. There is cool stuff to see in Cusco. I especially liked the Inca walls that are still present. They are very pleasing to look at. Anyway, we stayed at the Picoaga Hotel which is pretty much in the center of things. It was nice. Part of the hotel is this courtyard. I was sitting thee trying to figure out how to ge a nice photo, but the members of our tour group were all over the place. So, I did what I usually do in that circumstance, sit around and let them all head out the door to the bus. While waiting I work on composition and camera settings so that when it clears out I am ready to shoot. I get my pictures quickly then dash out the door to rejoin the group. I thought this one was kind of nice. Remember, I am easily amused.
