A funny thing happened today. I went down to Houston Camera Exchange to have a look for a couple of small items I was interested in. Then, all of a sudden, this Canon 5D jumped off the used camera shelf and landed on my hands. I thought it must be a sign from God and I better carefully think about what it meant. I stopped for a few seconds and figured out that it meant I was to free it from the cold, cold surroundings of the display case and put it into the warm, warm surroundings of my camera bag. I immediately asked the gentleman behind the counter if it was for sale and was assured that it certainly was, assuming of course it was OK with Ginny. Well, I figured it was probably OK since it looks exactly like the Mark 2 and she would never notice. So I reached into the moth infested nooks and crannies of my wallet and produced a worn piece of plastic money which the gentleman was happy to accept. And then, in a flash, I was the caretaker of this wonderful instrument. This is a true story. The accompanying photograph from today proves it. Just look at the EXIF data.

BTW - the ruse with Ginny lasted about ten seconds. I was caught immediately. The SEG probably gave it away. I am a terrible poker player, besides, that woman is far too clever for my own good.

Dave, - Obviously, she can't discuss. When asked, she simply said, "you have met your match." Something then about lettering in it at the Academy. That's all I can say. Say no more, say no more,

A Sandbagger's training in special ops would have ensured that the ruse worked---unless the ruse were aimed at another Sandbagger. What is Ginny's background?...
