I had never tried this type of photo before. I experimented last night a little bit and got up early this morning to try some more. In my humble opinion, it turned out pretty nice. It was about a 10 minute exposure. If you look closely, you can see the faint track of a satellite in the upper left quadrant. You have to hit the timing of twilight just right or you don't get the mountain to be right with the stars.

This is really good! Is it possible to bump up the highlights or something to make the stars pop a little more?

I'll bet that straight line is a scratch on the negative. :-)
