The main reason for our spring break trip to Oregon was to celebrate Ginny's mom's 86th birthday. It was a great time. Ginny and her five brothers and sisters were there along with associated spouses (me, for instance). Ginny's dad and I collaborated on smoking a turkey for the occasion. We used apple wood, which there is an abundance of on the farm. The turkey came out great. The smoke flavor went all through it. The great thing about this method is the the breasts come out nice and juicy. We ate well and had a very nice time.
