Pat and her daughter Becca came over tonight to share the brisket. Pat, of course, had to bring food which included potato salad, slaw, brownies and Shiner 101. Shiner 101 is the annual anniversary brew from Shiner. It was pretty good. No wine tonight. Any Texan can tell you that it is gauche to serve wine with brisket. Of course any Texan would not use the snooty word gauche. We would say it just ain't right to serve wine with brisket. Beer is the appropriate beverage.
