Among the things we get to do as volunteers at Fort Clatsop is to help with the Junior Ranger program. This is a deal where the children get a workbook (depending on age) which they can fill out by looking at exhibits at the fort. When they complete enough ectivities, they earn their Junior Ranger badge. The final step is taking the Junior Ranger oath, which Ginny is administering here. If they visit other Lewis & Clark oriented sites in the area they can earn additional recognition in the form of patches. This is all pretty cool stuff. The kids enjoy it. The parents enjoy it. The staff enjoys it. Sounds like a good deal all around.

This is great, John. Glad y'all are volunteering. When I am able to retire I'll become a volunteer somewhere.
