You know it is going to be an expensive day when the evaporator coil from your air conditioner is sitting in the back of a pickup truck. Our upstairs unit developed a leak, so it had to go. The new unit is supposed to be more efficient and better at getting the humidity out. We will see. We needed to get it replaced so we had to give up something, I am sure David really didn't want that last semester at college.
That last semester (actually a quarter) at college was something I DID want, but only so that I'd get the diploma. It had nothing to do with your evaporator coil.
Is that the original unit from when the house was built? Seems to me that 30 years + could be considered a good run. I have many fond memories of enjoying the fruits of our A/C's labor over the years.
