Today was Christmas in July at Fort Clatsop. We do this because Christmas is the only day that the Fort is closed. On Christmas in 1805, the men of the expedition fired a volley to celebrate. We did the same. I was shooting the 1795 Springfield musket. It was fun. Mine went off the first try each time we did it. GInny was there and we had a good time.
