Mississippi


We had been to Jackson before, but we decided to have another trip there because it wasn't too much of a detour from a trip home. We visited on October 14, 2013. The city of Jackson was involved in the Vicksburg campaign. Civil War history is important to this area of Mississippi. To me one of the most interesting things was the "Women of the Confederacy" statue.
