Dan, You'll notice that it was made with my iPhone. These modern phones have great cameras, within certain small limits, such as noise and resolution, neither of which is a problem except if one is making larger prints. It did need a little highlight adjustment in the flame in Photoshop.
Thank you for your nice comment. I was half asleep sitting on the couch, no, make the three-quarters asleep, when I thought to myself, that fire is kinda pretty. Without moving, I pulled out my iPhone and snapped the photo. Yes, we always have our phones with us, and many fail to remember that our phones can take good photos. It took me a while to get used to the idea. Now, that I used to it, I'm pretty quick to pull out my phone if I see something interesting. I have several phone photos in my various galleries, and I swear I can't tell the difference between them and photos made with my big, expensive camera and lenses. Yes, I'm trying to encourage my photography friends to not forget the camera they have in their pocket or purse.
