One of my favorite words. When first introduced to it in grad. school, the word was interpreted to be translated to mean"reason" in one of the earliest translations of the Bible: "In the beginning there was reason." Over the many years since then, I've learned that the word had taken on other meanings, too.
Humpty Dumpty, "The question is, can you make a word mean anything you want it to mean?"
Alice, "The question is, who's going to be master, that'all." (From "Alice in Wonderland.")
Take care.
