Wow, John, these next 3 pix of Whitney are absolutely incredible. They are all so different; it would be difficult to say that any one of them is better than the other. I like the glow of this shot. The colorful clouds are a nice accent, and I like that Whitney is not highlighted too much, as it stands out on it's own anyway (look at how the ridge immediately below it is separately defined; how Whitney and Needles are aglow but not the ridge beneath/in front). Then, in the foreground, the light on the rock, grasses and lichens atop the bigger boulder is a splendor all it's own. There's a LOT going on in this pic. I looked at this shot for a full 5 minutes.
