Taken last month at the reformatory ponds while they were migrating
A Cackling Goose
While at first glance it looks like a Canada Goose there are substantial differences, much smaller (half the weight), shorter neck, rounder head and shorter bill
They were considered a sub species of the Canada Goose until 2005 when it was designated a separate species
