Titled "The Mansion House and Cheapside" showing lots of busses
The Mansion House is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London and dates from 1752
Cheapside has existed from medieval times and the names derives from Old English meaning market place. The side streets were named after the products sold there, Honey Lane, Milk St, Bread St etc.
The street was heavily damaged during the great fire of London and again during the Blitz of WW2
