The manor at Guy's Cliff. The manor was built in 1751 on the site of an earlier building.
The house was used as a hospital during WW1 and as a school for evacuated children during WW2, sold in 1947 the new owner planed open a hotel but plans fell through and the building fell into disrepair with part of the roof collapsing . I t was further damage by a fire that got out of control during filming of a Sherlock Holmes move.
