De Havilland DH.86B Express ser # L7598 of 24 Sqn RAF based at RAF Hendon
Built in 1935 she was operated by British Airways until being acquired by the RAF in 1937. She was written off in July of 1939 after making a forced landing on Kirby-in-Furness Moor while transporting the Secretary of State and his staff, there were no casualties.
