This is an interesting photo when you ask yourself how it was illuminated. Shadows seem to indicate from the right rear of the camera. Probably with flash powder. There is no light coming in from the window so you might conclude it was at night. I would guess about a 1 second exposure since you had to accommodate the flash. Now, what are the rectangles on the floor. At first I thought it might be light from a skylight, but that doesn't fit the rest of the picture. I guess they were some sort of fancy white crochet floor covering. Thanks for giving me a moment to ponder.
