Title on photograph "Roma. Fontana di Trevi del Bernini"
The Trevi Fountain located in Rome was built in 1629 because Pope Urban VIII thought that the original fountain on the site was not dramatic enough. The original fountain built circa 19 BCE was at the terminus of the Aqua Virgo, one of the aqueducts that supplied water to ancient Rome.
