Scanned from a photo postcard circa 1910
A view of the Cunard ship RMS Caronia, it's interesting that the smoke from the funnels has been added, quite obvious in the full size scan.
Launched in 1905 she was mainly used on the North Atlantic run with the occasional cruise. During WW1 she initially served as an armed merchant cruiser then as a troop ship.
After WW1 she resumed service in the Atlantic runs up until 1932 when she was sold for scrap.
The Caronia was the ship that sent the first warning to the Titanic "bergs, growlers and field ice".
