The DeWitt Clinton Locomotive's claim to fame was that it was the first locomotive built in New York State for use on the Mohawk & Hudson Railway in 1831
Unfortunately it was only in service for one year and then scrapped in 1833. A replica was built in 1893 for the Chicago Worlds Fair where this picture was taken. It is now housed in the Henry Ford Museum.
